Perspective

Well, the month of January just flew by...

My dear friend Kimberly wrote this morning, and gave me such an amazing start to my day. She talked about PERSPECTIVE:

"I hope you have a great day! Even as we battle such difficult weather, I am reminded of what an eighty year old man said to me recently on a blustery day, "Well, at least we don't have to worry about mosquitos!" And so there lies the beauty of perspective. May God grant you His perspective today, so that we serve Him with joy and gratitude."

Is this TRUTH, or WHAT?!

I think of a story I heard about Corrie Ten Boom. And how her concentration camp cell was flea-infested. She said she grew to THANK God for the fleas. Why? Because the guards didn't want to get anywhere near the fleas, so they would avoid her cell. And in her cell, she would talk to other women... about Jesus... and helped them to come to faith in Christ. Thank you, God, for the fleas, she said. For they kept the guards away.

Perspective.

May we have it in 2008...
